The grapes for this unique wine, made from 100% Sangiovese, are exclusively grown on a special hill slope on Poggio Nibbiale. They are handpicked and post-selected prior to vinification.
With this wine we intend to develop the full potential of the indigenous Sangiovese grapes. Consequently, the pure terroir of Poggio Nibbiale – characterized by the close Tyrrhenian sea – emerges most prominently within the Tommaso. The wine ages for 24 months in oak wood barrels of the first and second passagio. With barren elegance, balanced acidity and soft tannins it presents the character and uniqueness of this classic Italian grape variety.
Due to its dense fabric of finest flavours our Tommaso is an exquisite companion for game, red meat and matured cheese.
